X-ray & Mammogram
An X-ray is a type of imaging test that is quick and painless and is typically used to diagnose tumours or bone injuries. The most common type of X-ray done is on the chest and is available in our Gold package onward.

Schedule an appointment via our online booking system and we will be in touch shortly, or call us at +65 6980 3045 to speak to our friendly staff.
Bring your identification card, any past medical records or results, and medications you are currently taking. You may wish to pack a change of clothes too as you are recommended to dress in comfortable attire for your health screening.
You may be required to fast and stop certain medications until your blood sample is taken, asked to drink plenty of water before a pelvic ultrasound, and reminded not to wear any deodorant, perfume, powder or cream to avoid interfering with the mammogram result.
The duration of health screenings can range from 1 hour to an entire day depending on the package you have chosen and the number of tests required. We suggest factoring in buffer time in your schedule to avoid interfering with your health screening process.
You can take a few factors such as family history, age, lifestyle and any present symptoms you are experiencing into consideration to help you choose the right package. If you are still unsure, reach out to us and our friendly staff will be happy to assist.
Regular health screenings are helpful in detecting conditions that may have developed after your previous screening. Hence, it is important to go for tests at the recommended frequency.
FAQs on Mammogram
Aged 40-49: once every year
Aged 50 & above: once every 2 years
For women aged 40 to 49, the breast tissues are denser. A mammogram may not be able to detect abnormal tissues hence women in this age range are recommended to screen more frequently, so any changes in the breast tissues can be better detected swiftly.
Breast tissues in women aged below are denser making it difficult for mammograms to efficiently detect any abnormal tissues. However, if you do notice any unusual lumps, experience pain or discharge, you should seek medical attention immediately.
No. A mammogram is an X-ray examination of the breast. Like all X-rays, it may hurt the foetus, so it is strongly advised not to have a mammogram done during pregnancy.
It is advisable to schedule your mammogram at least one week after your menstrual period, when your breast is less tender and sensitive.
You need to wait at least six months after you stop breast-feeding to do a mammogram. This is because your breasts will be compressed during mammogram and the milk ducts in your breasts can lead to inaccurate results.
Wear a comfortable two-piece outfit as you will need to undress to the waist for the mammogram.
The whole mammogram procedure will take around 30 minutes.
You should know your results within two to three weeks after screening.
